    Playing movies through USB

Sometimes the TV doesn't play the entire movie through USB.
I have no idea why, but how can I fix that ?

    Hi Topaz,

    Welcome to the TV forum.

For better assistance, please state your TV model number.

Also, more information about the file you are attempting to play would be helpful.

    Best regards,
    Ina

    Hi Topaz,

Does it happen with all .avi files or just some?

Does it happen with any other files types?

Do you get any messages when the file stops playing? What exactly happens when it does?

    Best regards,

    Hi haitoguer,

Just for me to understand your issue correctly:

You say that .mkv files play fine, but some of your .avi files do not, correct?

When you say you are told the format is not recognised, where are you told this? By a message on the TV or the way the files are shown?

Ensure your TV is up to date with the latest software as well, please. You can find the software file and installation instructions on our support page here:

Not all. Sometimes they stop after 72min, sometimes after 77min. Strange

    No, only .avi
    Same problem with other USB-stick.

If I load the movie I can already see how long the file is going to play, this is not always the full lenght of the movie. The movie just stops because, as far as the TV is concerned, the file has ended.
