HTB3270 no sound via ARC from Panasonic TV

I can't seem to get the audio from my Panasonic TX-P42ST50 TV via ARC to my Philips HTB3270 home theater set. I've connected using a 1.4 HDMI cable to the ARC-HDMI port on the TV (HDMI2).

According to the TV manual, once there is a ARC complient home theater set connected under Viera Link there should be an option "Speaker selection" to select Home theater output:

The only option I see however is "VIERA Link Control: Player". This option works fine and when I select it it starts up the Disc player from the HTB3270 and I can control the HT using the TVs remote. This suggest the easylink part of the connection is fine.

Could it be I need to enable some setting on either the HT or TV to get the "Speaker Selection" option availible on the TV?

    Hello,

Please reset your home theater to its factory settings and then switch it off and on again.

Please refer to page 11 of the manual below to learn how to enable EasyLink in your HTB3270.
