    Sound Bar HTL2100/12 Echo when in surround mode

    Hi

    I have just purchased the above sound bar and installed it using a digital optical cable and have positioned it under my Samsung TV. Set the TV to external speaker and to Optical out PCM.

    The sound comes through the bar OK and then I press surround and get an echo as if everyone is in a cave. I have changed as many settings as I can and this is always the same. I thought this would give me virtual surround and not someone in a cave.
    Can you help and advise me on this?

    Thank you for the post. I'm sorry to hear about the issue. The connection and setting used is all right. I would recommend you to visit your local Service Centre and they can verify if the soundbar is faulty or not.

    Are you saying the unit is faulty. I am unsure of a nearby service centre and maybe better taking it back to the retailer.

    I am in the Uk in Fife Scotland.

    I purchased the unit at Tesco and can take it back there and ask for a refund if that is the best option.
    I do not know the local service centre if there even is one nearby.

    Hi, I took it back to back to Tesco and they refunded me the money for the unit. Thanks for tour help.
