What is the current IPEPG status.
What will the Support person advise me when I call them ??
Will they insist upon updating sw and checking internet access.....Last edited by abaekgaard; 01-04-2013 at 06:01 PM.

Hi together,
rolfsson75's copy of his chat with the support figured out that this kind of support is hardly limited.
On the other hand the post of Thomas shows that the form mod's know a lot of details about SmartTV and that are online while the most of us are on vacation.
But this also show's that users which keep their eyes open find a lot of errors within a very short period of time. So I recommend once more to use some customers as tester and open an more efficient way to collect the users experience.
But back to the IP-EPG: the situation seems a bit normalized at my side. Interesting note: the manually mapping of some tv channels was gone as IP-EPG was back last night. But my problem with the back button still persists. So in total, IP-EPG seems a very unstable creation the needs urgently to be updated.
regards
bta

Yesterday only a message like 'EPG is under construction' was visible.
Today the EPG menu with channels is there, but no program information...
Green smiley and message 'all services working' still present on this website: NOT !

Hi,
what you are seeing now, is already in the cache of your TV. If you now press option button and reload the IP-EPG, the black screen is up again...
BULLSHIT!

Also getting black screen
I don't know how Philips dare ignore and insult their customers to such a degree, it is commercial suicide. Don't they understand that for every customer that becomes completely dissatisfied with their product (and there are hundreds, maybe thousands on these forums) they tell friends and family to avoid Philips products like the plague.
Philips please, please respond to the outrage of your customers on this and other subjects - ignoring us makes you look like incompetent imbeciles or worse like you could not give a sh*t about our opinions/problems. We bought these TVs in good faith, often to find that you had been deceitful with your advertising (as backed up by a recent ruling by the advertising standards authority in the UK) to find that the software barely works. Not only this, but we have to deal with an outage in the EPG which means we are unable to use the recording/playback of video function at all or such a basic function as the EPG itself. TELL US WHEN THIS WILL BE FIXED, IT NEEDS TO BE SOON.

TV: 40PFL7605 - Last firmware installed
Yesterday: i lost some manually recorded channels in IP-EPG. I re-record the "lost" channel. Not a major problem but i found this problem strange.
Today: I lost NetTV (i need to register again) + Black screen in IP-EPG. After registration of my TV, NetTV is back, Black screen in IP-EPG, but after some test, i seed the blue-magenta background but no information.
At this time the problem is not fixed...

Dear Thomas,
I wonder why Philips seems so much surprised by this problem. I own a Philips TV 32PFL9606 since around one year now. And the principle issue with regard to accessibility of the IP-EPG and the connected USB-recording persists since then. I doubt that there will be ever a satisfying solution for the customers (regular smooth accessibility of IP-EPG and access to USB-recording independent of internet-connection). But of course I would be happy to to get convinced by Philips of the contrary.
Happy New Year 2013!

Hi,
did you read the AGBs when you started the IP-EPG the first time? Then you know, that you don't need a lawyer...
I know, it's frustrating - especially that we cannot start any recording...

SHAME ON Philips
That must have been sheer coincidence. Here in Switzerland, the EPG is still not working ! Since days ..!! I wonder if it will work after the long holidays, next week ...!? Biut I doubt it --- It seem to be complete technical incompetence on Philips' side ... SHAME ON YOU .... My last Philips TV set ;-(( (Although otherwise it's a nice device ... but without USB recording technically far behind competitors ...!!)

@CCWH good for you.
Alas here in Denmark still no IPEPG. At least since 4 days now......
Came home last night and really looked foreward to see some prerecorded material together with my family.
But NO. Really embaressing. I ended up trying to explain that apparently we have invested our money in the wrong product .... ?
Philips your BRAND is bleeding ...... :-(
