BDP9700 only PCM output when play file from NAS

Hi, I connect my BDP9700 using 2 HDMI (main & avr), when I play my video files (with DTS HDMA 5.1/7.1) only PCM output to my Yamaha av amp. It is fine when I play blu-ray disc, my AV amp show DTSHDMA. I've tried all the setting in the AUDIO ie select Auto or bitstream but same result, only PCM output. Is this a software problem or I need to repair my player?

    Hi,

do you also have PCM if you play these files via USB? And what's the output if you only have DTS Core files (5.1 only)?

    Dear pkoon,

it's a normal behavior of our devices such as HTB or BDP. We supports only DTS via dvd drive, from external sources (USB, Network, ...) and we do not support 5.1 DTS -> the sound comes only in PCM quality.

Please, have a look at the FAQ here:

    Kind regards,
    Sarka
