    Subtitle-shift - HTB3510/12

    I have a HTB3510/12 and a 50PFL7956T - with fw 1.28.01 and 14.105.
But I cant get subtitle-shift to work with neither dvds nor blu-rays. In configuration I have enabled subtitle-shift in tvs Easylink-menu and in HTS3510 preference menu, but when playing standard dvds and blurays the subtitle-shift option is not accessible in the options menu on the HTS3510 What have I missed???

    Dear miri,

The subtitle shift option is not always accessible. However, can you please let me know if you have the same problem while playing video files (for example from usb)? Is the option available?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,
    Sarka

    Hello Sarka

The subtitle shift option is not accessible in any situation

I have tried DVD and Blu-Ray for the optical drive and VOB, MKV, TS files from USB and NAS (all internal subtitles) - nothing gives me the option subtitle shift - it seems like the handshake between box and tv (related subtitle-shift) is faulty....

    Regards Michael

    Hi Michael.

Has disabling the subtitle shift on your television made any difference at all?

    Hi Caroline

No difference at all! I have tried to disable and enable subtitle shift on tv and blu-ray several times, but without any luck - I have reset the software on tv and blu-ray to the factory-settings - cut the power - it makes no difference....

    Regards Michael

... but now I have tried to disable the subtitle shift in the preferencesmenu on the HTB3510 and not enable it again - and now the subtitle-shift option is accessible - and it is possible to manually shift the subtitles up and down.

So should the subtitle shift in the option menu only be accessible in manual mode? ... and shouldn't the subtitle-shift be automated between the HTB3510 and the PFL7956 when both has subtitle-shift enabled in the settings/preference-menu??? The later is not the case here!

Should I return my HTB3510 or will you find a solution? The reason I bought the 3510 was the subtitle shift - I already had a BD-player, but the subtitles were annoying on the 21/9 screen...
