MKV is a container, meaning a 3D movie can be encoded in various ways. There is no given standard and Philips do not support all of them. Could you be more precise with what kind of file your are trying to play?

Samsung appears to be smarter in some areas, such as Always using the .srt subtitle file if present and decoding DTS sound. This may also be another area.

The set does not find any files on the USB stick?? That has nothing to do with codecs. The file should be visible on the set. Are you sure the usb is formatted right? (FAT32 or NTFS)
Do you find the files on your computer? The 2k14 sets should have no problem with MKV files.

    Hi,

agreed with EvilC. Independent from the Codec, the TV should find Files on the Stick.
