    Angry Rebooting

When will Philips finally fix the rebooting problem with the rebooting?
We are told to unplug the tv!
    They can't be serious!
Software 173.52 was released but the notes don't mention anything about curing the rebooting.
    It's just one big joke.
Don't take anymore rubbish and ask for your money back

actually the rebooting is fixed with a complete shutdown (a cold one)

well, well, what do you know... even windows 95/98 handled better installation of new drivers compared with the Phillips' implementation of a linux kernel

Crap TV's, quality of Philips has gone down the drain.
I wouldn't recommend any Philips TV's to anyone.
Customer service is bad, support is even worse.

    Rebooting fixed?
Until the next time and the next and the next.
This bug they have NOT fixed

    Hi Reboot,

While we always appreciate feedback on our TV software, please do refrain from posting the same post multiple times throughout the forum.

I might suggest that you instead provide feedback via the provided technical feedback thread for your TV model, as this would be the most helpful way to let us know about your issue for your TV model.

Some of your posts have been removed where they are not of assistance or pertinent to the original post.

Please also read the forum Terms of Use here:
    http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...1-Terms-of-use

Please also let us know your TV model number as otherwise your feedback is mute.

    Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Ina

Philips....oops, the new owners are TP Vison , Chinese majority owners.
Quality has just gone down the drain, BIG time!
Reboots, switches off and on by itself, call it what you want.
The problem is still there and has NOT been fixed by Philips/TP Vision's software upgrades.
The latest version 173.52 has NOT fixed the rebooting problem.
I would recommend all customers to push customer services for a replacement TV, but hey not an 8008!
If you own an 8000, 7000 or 6000 series get rid of it A.S.A.P.
I'm just disgusted by the very poor attitude by Philips/TP Vision, a TV that has cost a lotttttt of hard earned cash
