    Mute channel

Hello everybody. I live in Argentina and I bought my PHILIPS LED TV FHD 32PFG4109 only yesterday. Today I find one channel is always mute, no matter what I do, it only sounds for a few seconds and is mute again. The rest is ok. I have restored to factory settings and it remains the same. Please advise, this is a brand new set. Thank you.

    Hi,

can you see any Icon or Message which indicates that the TV has muted the Channel?
Can you change Volume(do you see the Volume bar)?
Have you connected and other Sound Device like an Home Cinema ystem etc?

    regards

Hello, thanks for the prompt answer. No icon or messages, I can change volume and see the volume bar, the sound comes and goes when I move it in that channel (fox). I have not yet connected any other sound device, only the dvd player, and it was ok. I intend to buy some speakers, but I am not sure which. You know, when I first turn the channel, there is a brief sound, then disappears, I don't know what that is. Regards. Marta

    Hi Marta,

Please check the signal information on this channel.

When tuned to Fox, press the OPTIONS key on the remote control. Then select Status.

Signal strength and quality should ideally be over at least 60-70% for optimal picture and audio quality.

    Best regards,
    Ina
