    In the past week we have made a formal internal investigation into the case of forum user peter_m in regards to the claims he has stated on this forum.

    When the TV was first brought in for repairs, the set was tested for 8 days in our local authorised service centre. No fault with the set was found by either of 2 engineers working on the set.

    The customer was since unhappy about this outcome and filed a complaint with the local consumer rights organisation. A second service was arrange with an independent service centre, who tested the set for 5 days and also found the set to be working within specification for the intended use.

    The TV was tested and no faults were found by 5 technical engineers in total.

    The customer was also offered the set tested at his home, but was reluctant to accept this offer. We have made several attempts to contact the customer in regards to his TV and his complaint, but have not been able to form a constructive dialog with him due to his reluctance in this matter.

    Therefore we are unable to accept this as a Warranty nor a Right to Claim case and consider the case concluded. Also, no further requests have been made from the local consumer rights organisation to Philips in regards to this case.

    This thread will now be closed. Any further complaints in regards to this case must henceforth be addressed to the local Philips customer service team.
