    Hi,

the analogue 7.1 volume speaker issue has also been fixed, but it's not mentioned in the changelog.

Still issues present. e.g. No covers in FLAC files, no Skype HD

Great, havent had the time to check. Is there any more SACD and dual layer issues left? I think they all are fixed now?

    Hi,

there is one issue left. When playing an SACD with SACD text and press back or stop you will see an overview. However, there is no SACD text - only "Title1, title2, ....".

This morning I started the BDP9700 with a DVD already inside. Maybe I should have pressed the Home-button instead of the Power-button. Still...

This V4.22 firmware is the 6th I have installed (3.76 - 3.80 - 3.85 - 3.92 - 4.19 - 4.22), every time doing the UPG_ALL, factory reset and unplugging, just to be sure, but the crashing never stopped.

Please Philips, please take back this player and refund me. This is a serious request, please contact me personally, you have my email address.

One picture for every time my BDP9700 goes coo-coo, including a description of where / how it happened:

2014-07-19: On power-up screen was black but player seemed responsive. Was able to turn of by remote control. After renewed power-up the screen was purple, player fully crashed, had to unplug to get it back. No USB-stick connected but DVD was loaded at start-up

2014-07-06: Image of a song starting to play, looks normal but really is not: The song has been playing for several minutes now but the counter stays at 0:00:00, on screen and on the BDP itself. No response to remote control buttons, nor to the regular stop button on the front of the machine. Pressing the Standby button on the BDP shut down the player and all seems fine after power-up. This should not be happening...

2014-06-19: Not a real crash this time, but a fluorescent green screen on start-up. Tried DVD, but still green. A power-down-and-up fixed it.

2014-06-18: No longer possible to connect tablet to player through Youtube app. Entering that setting on the player gives wide grey bar, then total grey screen, pressing Home gets you out. Got the crash after pressing the Power button on remote to shut down.

2014-06-17: While disengaging Miracast the player crashed again. Did not respond to any button including the power button. I waited about 12 minutes hoping it would get out of this, but finally pulled the power cord.

Philips, please refund those of us who are tired of waiting.

    hi,
an update fo the 3d problem:
about the not perfect aliniment of left and right images, is now really improved, infact for most of the (pseudo)z axis is now good, but for the extremity, expecially in Long shots. Anyway is now really much more enjoyable

Got sound issues over HDMI MAIN bitstream after updating on 4.22. DTS, Dolby Digital doesn't work. Only DTS HD Master and Dolby True HD are still working, not very well, but I can get a sound. The BDP9700 ist connected with Yamaha RX-V473. I updated on LAN and USB. Reset and unplug the player for 5 minutes.

Hey Levinas, definitely something I would like to try! I use USB-sticks a whole lot on the player AND i seem to have a relatively high crash-rate. Might be a connection there, would need some empirical data which would take a long time.

Instant update : And then my BDP crashes bad and hard, without a USB-stick in sight. Empirical data so far is not in favour of your theory, Levinas
