Got sound issues over HDMI MAIN bitstream after updating on 4.22. DTS, Dolby Digital doesn't work. Only DTS HD Master and Dolby True HD are still working, not very well, but I can get a sound. The BDP9700 ist connected with Yamaha RX-V473. I updated on LAN and USB. Reset and unplug the player for 5 minutes.

There are too many small bugs still not ironed out in the new FW 4.22. Philips: why is this taking so long?Your competitors fix bugs in no time, for example did Asus release a new FW after just 3 days to fix bugs. Why can't you do the same? At least fix one of the more urgent matters.

I can say to all that are experiencing purple screen: do another factory reset. It worked for me. I've now been using the player a lot for many days now. No color purple anymore.

I think the freeze issue/purple screen only happens when USB memory is connected. Can anyone confirm this?

2.35:1 graphics wanted in next fw release please.

Hey Levinas, definitely something I would like to try! I use USB-sticks a whole lot on the player AND i seem to have a relatively high crash-rate. Might be a connection there, would need some empirical data which would take a long time.

Instant update : And then my BDP crashes bad and hard, without a USB-stick in sight. Empirical data so far is not in favour of your theory, Levinas
