BDP2105 frequently needs to be unplugged to reset.

I have multiple Philips products in my home. I am looking to upgrade many of those devices over the next year as I prepare for a significant move. I must say, that given my most recent experience with my first Philips Blu Ray player I may NOT be returning to Philips for electronics needs.

This Blu Ray (BDP2105) player is less than 6 months old. In that time, I have come to realize that from time to time it simply stops working. It will load up the "Philips" screen and then goes blank and does nothing. There is no home screen. There is nothing. I have to unplug the device (which is NOT an easy feat given my entertainment setup) in order for it to work again. I THINK it may happen more frequently after the device has played a Blu Ray and then is being asked to play a DVD.

I know it is not the disks, as the disks it usually "crashes" on are ones it has already played.

Philips - I am challenging you with rectifying this problem in order to save a customer; because at this point I am prepared to replace the Blu Ray with a different brand and never return to your product line.
