TV reset to original factory setting.

    Hi
I have TV Model 60pfl8708 with the latest firmware for 7 months

Once in a while, the TV losts its setting and TV reset to original factory setting.
The TV go to Standard setting and the Personal seting is reset to factory default.
    Any 1 noticed this problem?
What could be the problem? Could it be an hardware problem?

I have the same problem with a 46pfl8008. It's been happening since the latest firmware update, 173.52, I think. It happens quite frequently, and all custom settings are lost. You basically can't calibrate this tv any more. Also, the standard settings look quite horrible, since they enable multiple image enchancement modes that are currently broken: Dynamic backlight (inconsistent brightness and overdarkening certain scenes), light sensor (random flickering) and perfect natural motion (severe artifacts on quickly moving camera/objects, artifacts around subtitles). It doesn't take a trained eye to see all this, even my girlfriend is disturbed by dynamic backlight and perfect natural motion.

Imagine reading multiple reviews that praise the image quality and getting this. You really neet to get the firmware fixed.

    Hi,

If this is happening on the latest software version (173.52), please do report this in the appropriate software feedback threads.

Please give as many specifics as you can in regards to the issues, such as:

    - How often does this happen?

    - Is it specific settings that are lost (picture, sound, EasyLink) or several/all of them?

    - How does the issue manifest itself, how is it noticeable?

    - At which software version did the issue occur?

    - What was your previous software version?

Please also be aware that a similar issue has been resolved in previous software versions, so if your TV is not up to date, we will not be able to receive feedback on issues.

    Best regards,
    Ina
