    Philips Songbird

I am trying to re-install Songbird on my computer and it just will not re-install. I am running Windows 7 and the player I have is the Philips GoGear Vibe 8GB SA3VBE07KC/37. I have deleted all the old program files and tried to reinstall, still nothing. Would appreciate any help.

    Hi,

Have you tried "Run as Administrator"? The problem might be in your Windows 7 installation. How long ago did you install your system? Can you use another PC or laptop to install Philips Songbird?

    Kind regards,
    Philips Moderation Team

Yes, I did try the "Run as Administrator". I bought this computer last year brand new, it came with windows 7 installed on it. No, I do not have another computer to install songbird on. When I first installed songbird, I didn't have a problem, it is the re-installation that is nor working. Thank you

    Hi,

Have you uninstalled Philips Songbird via Control Panel before attempting re-installation?

Yes, I did uninstall it from the control panel first. Yesterday I even did a disk cleanup and defragmented the disk, then I tried the re-install. This is the message I got" NSIS Error: The installer you are trying to install is corrupted or incomplete. This could be a result of a damaged disk, a failed download, or a virus. You may want to contact the author of the installer to obtain a new copy." I don't have a disk, nor a virus. I have been trying to reinstall Songbird from a link that was sent directly to me on 05/08/14 directly from Philips, and when that did not work, I went to the Philips site myself and tried to download it there. I hope this information helps you solve my problem. Thanks again.

    Hello,

We suggest that you use CCleaner before re-installation.

Please download Philips Songbird from the link below:

    http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/c...scy=US&slg=AEN

Follow these steps to install the software:

    http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/c...scy=US&slg=AEN

Tip: For optimal playback of Philips Songbird, please always have the latest version of Quick Time and Windows Media Player 11 (or later) installed before installation of Philips Songbird.

    Kind regards,
