    Hello

Is it known if Viaplay also will be available on the new Philips 2014 models? I bought the 47PFS7199/12 and the Viaplay app is not available in the app gallery even though i've updated to the latest firmware (012.003.006.128 2014-08-01).

    Sincerely
    Oscar

A week has passed and there's neither a working Viaplay app nor any news about the build progress.

When will there be a working app available?

Even if Philips seems to have been hit by lorryfulls of unknown unknowns and have no clue as to how to deal with them, it's good to have a continuous flow of information about the app build progress albeit a de facto standstill.

    viaplay and philips smart tv

When will there be a solution to the viaplay problem.

it seems like the solution for my televison dosent work. i updated the platform and did cut the power for 5 min. still no viaplay..the app is there, but it still dosent work....

the funny thing is that it worked before the update.....

are philips thinking on compensating for the missing viaplay.... i bought the television, bescause the salesman told me that it had viaplay and was supported...

it worked and now it dosent....

Before i contact the danish "forbruger styrelse" would i like to hear if philips is to take back the television and return my money very soon.. because i do not whant to wait anymore...

i have a philips 60 elevation 60plf8708s, and is actually very happy withe the rest of the televison and the philips hue together with 4 sided ambilight... it is just not funne when the main thing was to see viaplay....

    regards jesper

    Dansk/Danish
Jesper det hjælper dig ikke at kontakte forbruger styrelsen da de ikke er en officiel instans i DK.
Henvend dig heller til butikken med dit TV og se om de vil tage det tilbage.

    English :
But I have talked to Viaplay DK and they say that they have removed the app from all Philips smart devices becourse they got a lot of complaints from users. Thay dont know if they will make a new one or just update the old one.
But I have the new Philips powered by Android TV 8000 serie and it should run on a android 4.1 or 4.2 software. And I can read on Viaplays homepage that there Viaplay App for Android devices are working on software from 4.1 and ahead.
But still I cant use the app from google play that good. It turn my screen and I cant choose sport on it.
I hope that philips are going to do some thing about this so the people can see Viaplay again... :-)

    ..........

Yet another week has passed and still the Viaplay app isn't working.

The Philips information level on the matter is nil.

Is there any progress in the app build?

“At this point in time we cannot give any exact indication as to when the service will be available again”

“sadly we dont have an indication right now when the App will be live.”

Now the Philips information about no information has also dried up. The Viaplay app, of course, is still not working.

The good news to the owners of new Philips TV sets is: Things can’t really get any worse.

And furthermore: There is a broad range of Samsung TV:s out there, all with working apps for almost every thinkable streaming TV service (while Philips has resorted to a no content available and no comment policy). Yes, you can have all the content you wish! Just ditch your new Philips and get a Samsung!

This ”no news” and “no further comment” thing is more than a bit strange. Why all this secrecy? Is there any actual work going on by technicians on a daily basis? Or is the department for the development of apps closed for holidays? Or forever?

As things are you certainly don’t get the impression of relentless hard work on the Viaplay app build. In fact, Philips seems to have abandoned the app and for some (probably legal or commercial) reason won’t tell the misled customers.
