    Philips BTD7170 Bluetooth Problem

    Hi,

I have some problem with connecting between BTD7170 and PC (windows 8).
My PC found device (Bluetooth Headset) and pairing it, but it is OFFLINE.
I tried update drivers, reinstalled drivers and software, i tried another BT dongle, and always the same situation... Device is OFFLINE

It is possible that BTD7170 is not compatible with Windows 8 ?

    On smartphones working great.

Have you heard about that problem with win8 ?

    Dear positif,

Thanks for posting on the forum. Have you tried to check a website of your PC manufacturer to see if there are any new drivers for the bluetooth available?

    Kind regards,

Yes, I've tried a few different drivers for my notebook. I've trying all tips that i've found on internet. But.. I need to try one more thing. On some forum, I've read about instaling drivers from different notebook manufacturer for the same BT card. I need to try this

Also, I need to try to connect with another PC with windows 7. Maybe Win8 is the problem.

    Ok, I found the problem.
Intel BT drivers do not have A2DP support (only some strange protocols - I dont even know what that is)

Yesterday I've tried third party software and drivers (BlueSoleil) and it works perfectly.
I think BTD7170 will work with no problems with different BT cadrs from different manufacturers (Broadcom) or different BT USB dongle with A2DP support.

So.... the BTD7170 is a superb HiFi Device with BT support and I'm very happy with it.
