Wall mounting & ambilight : minimum distance

    I'm intending to buy a 48 or 55 PFS8x09.
Can anyone tell me what is the minimum distance from the wall I can expect ? (I heard that despite the very thin frame depth, there was a kind of woofer thing on the back of the set that prevents from sticking the TV to the wall.
I understand that ambilight requires a minimum distance to work properly, but I would not want to mount a 13mm depth tv with a 50mm hole between my wall and the back of my TV. So can some of you folks give experience feedbacks ? what is recommended ?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi ggpublic,

For a optimal Ambilight experiance you need 70-100 mm distance from your wall.

    aaargh, thanks EvilC
besides ambilight, 7 to 10 is far too much for wall mounting an ultra thin TV

You are right ! Despite the very thin frame there is the compartment where the main board, speaker and camera is located. These taken into consideration the minimum distance you could achieve from the wall is approx. 55mm for the 48PFS8109 model.
