Next firmware update for PFL-2013 series?

    Dear Philips,

It has been a long time since anything noteworthy has happened for the 2013 Smart-TV series firmwares. All the silence on your behalf, is making us a bit worried.

Latest set of firmware updates 173.49/50/51/52 which released in a rapid wave at April/may - Didn't really change much or fix any of the issues we have been reporting through the whole winter.

There are plenty of issues, which are fundamental on everyday use of the product, most of them have been reported over half a year ago to you, by us.

Problem is that even though we give you precious feedback on your product, we don't get any kind of confirmation back whether the issue is actually acknowledged or about to be fixed or not.

It's really frustrating to just sit and wait.

    I bet by now you must have heard and been able to reproduce ie these;

    Clear faults / bugs:
    1. TV's are generally unstable and crashes every now and then.
    2. HDMI multichannel audio lag issue.
    3. TV tends to pick up IR-signals from other device remotes and that results all kind of problems.
    4. SPDIF has been problematic cause of micro-drops for some users.

Yet there is not ONE single reply by Philips staff saying "Yes, we are aware of this issue and are working on it. It will be fixed on the next firmware updates."

Which is pretty much the only thing what I want to hear as a customer!

Many users have reported their wishes and hopes, concerning these issues:
    * Make the GUI / Menus / Smart TV more simple and to response better and smoother.
    * Perfect Natural Motion setting has gone a lot worse during recent firmware updates. It creates jaggies, frameskips and artifacts which it didn't use to do.
    * Dynamic back-light setting works too aggressive, even though it used to work right on previous firmwares.
    * It is possible to stream external subtitles via DLNA, however Philips TV's does not support that. Could you pretty please add the support?

    Yet, no results.

If these things are something that is impossible for you guys to do because of reason X, then please tell us so, preferably with the reason included. Most of us will realize to stop asking after their request gets a reasoning.

Please start to be more in contact with your customers. Release known-issues lists. Release launch-dates for firmware-updates. Release To-Do lists. Be in contact with your loyal customer base. Start to be honest. I'm surely that would solely help a lot with the forums atmosphere to say the least.

So Philips: Any idea when the next firmware update is coming and what will get fixed?

    Best Regards,
    Your customers.

    Hi,

This time it takes too much time. We are waiting and don't hear nothing! There are still too many people with issues and it seems like the support for the 2013 series is ending...

Although the 2014 series seems to have the priority (for Philips), I still hope there comes an update that resolves the issues for the 2013 series.

This week I had (since many time ago) some unwanted reboots (crashes) again.....

    Regards, Jarno.

@ Philips/Tpv; For when is the next Fw. update planned ?
