The CD tray pops out from the player.

First of all I apologize for my English. I hope that my problem is understandable.

Good evening. I bought four years ago a blue ray player bpd7500mkII.

Not long after I had the first problems. Some CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray was not read. I always fimware updated regularly, but I never got satisfactory results.

Unfortunately, a few months ago the h dismantled and unused since it was started to test a further problem. The CD tray pops out from the player.

Now out of warranty I do not know how to fix it. Beating a tap on the top cover and then the tray pops out. As if something gets wedged inside the player.

I wanted to ask if there is a hard reset. In terms of hardware and settings.

I am waiting for your kind reply.

    Hello matrix74,

First of all let me welcome you to the Philips Support Forum, we are very happy to see you join us here. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having this issue with the CD tray.
If you want to reset the settings of the device, please press the home button then select [Settings] > OK > [Advanced Setup] > OK > [Restore Default Settings], then all the settings will be set to the factory settings, except for the Parental Control setting. To perform a hardware reset, simply unplug the device from the power supply for 5 minutes or more, and then plug it back in.
Let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards,
    Philips - Christoffer

Good evening and thank you for the swift response. No longer under warranty and being fairly well versed in electronic matter, I am allowed to open it and remove it in its parts.

The hard reset did not report any kind of improvement or resolution to the problem.

Having dismounted, I realized what the problem is. Practically the magnet of the part above the cd it unlatches, in the opening phase without supports in its interior, from the bottom in the photo ....

The magnet on the cover remains attached to the cone below, so that without a small blow to the cover, will not open the drawer, even if there is only and only the power to the CD, having taken steps to remove the motherboard from the flat where house the various encoders and chips and processors. If you want to send a video of the problem ....

I tried to shim the cover where there is the magnet, but I have not solved the problem as the CD / DVD is not blocked by two magnets and is therefore not read.

This issue has always been, ever since it was bought.

I tried, without power, to slide all the gears of the opening and everything flows and moves beautifully .....

Is there any method to solve the problem?

the image is indicative, it is to make them understand which parts remain attached.

    Hello matrix74,

Thank you for your post. For questions that concern the hardware inside our devices, I will have to redirect you to a repair center. Do you know where to find a repair center in your area?
    Have a nice Wednesday.

    Kind regards,
    Philips - Christoffer
