    Same thing for me, so How to reset the player? Hold the power and then plug ACDC?
    I do believe there was a disk inside, however the upgrade procedure did NOT mention to take it out before. How was I suppose to know?

    Hi there,

    My BDP7700 doesn't respond to anything, the lights on top come on but nothing else happens. No signal to the TV. When I press the eject button, the button's light flares up for half a second and that's it. Nothing else gets a reaction of any kind, I've tried all buttons on the remote and all buttons on the device itself. I tried to reboot by powering off, unplugging the device from the power outlet, leaving it off for a whole day and then plugging it in again, same thing happened. Same when pressing the power button while powering on, as suggested earlier in this thread.

    Do please help. I don't have a Philips store in my town.
