Same thing for me, so How to reset the player? Hold the power and then plug ACDC?
I do believe there was a disk inside, however the upgrade procedure did NOT mention to take it out before. How was I suppose to know?

    Hi there,

My BDP7700 doesn't respond to anything, the lights on top come on but nothing else happens. No signal to the TV. When I press the eject button, the button's light flares up for half a second and that's it. Nothing else gets a reaction of any kind, I've tried all buttons on the remote and all buttons on the device itself. I tried to reboot by powering off, unplugging the device from the power outlet, leaving it off for a whole day and then plugging it in again, same thing happened. Same when pressing the power button while powering on, as suggested earlier in this thread.

Do please help. I don't have a Philips store in my town.

    Best regards,

    Janne

    Hello Janne!

I’d like to start by welcoming you to the Philips forum!

Quite intuitively you have tried all the things that I would suggest your doing so all there is left to do is send your device off to a repair center. Since I don’t know where you live I can only suggest you going to the following page:

    http://www.philips.com/global/countr...Rlcg.html.html

picking your country of residence, clicking on consumer and then support to find the local call center.
There my colleagues will be more than happy to help you find a repair center and the most suitable solution that fits your case.

Hope you have a great day!

    Regards,
    Philips - Katerina

    Hello pstoev!
Welcome to the Philips support forum and thank you for joining us here!
I’m afraid that this is not something that is possible, we can’t give you an old version that will downgrade your device because the newer ones are always an improvement and are designed to optimize the quality of your device.
    Many regards,
    Philips - Katerina
