Frustrating issue with TV turn off automatically

I have from one month the 55pfl7008 and from a couple of days the tv turn off alone randomly after a while.
Sometimes it works for a hour or more, but when start to turn off alone is impossible to see more than 5/6 minutes.
I try to reinstall tv (not work) unplug all cable (not work) during channel search turn off and so i cannot search for channel.
Sometimes if i unplug power cable for some minutes and power on tv it works for some hours.
    How can i fix that?
How to have a tv (maybe with a lot of problem like i mentioned in sw revision BUT) can stay on?

    Thanks in advance.
PLEASE let me know what i can do to fix that! (logs, reinstall firmware, etc.)

    Paolo

Sorry to inform you, but the best you can do is to throw tv in garbage.

From support will tell you to call to local service. From local service will tell you that they not find problems ... or they will change everything on your tv ... and problems will continue ...

Because problems are software. And everyone have same problems ... but this china company say that they have not problems ... this problem exist in all 6,7,8,9 series, because they use same FW.

I am active at this forum since more than 1 year and I have to confirm this. Software is causing the majority of problems. Many people are complaining. Many people are having unwanted random reboots. (and also the P.N.M. don't work good...)

Untill now Philips/Tpv did not solved this. The 6/7/8/9 series of 2012 and 2013 are having these problems. The 2014 models I don't know yet.

Since the bottom of my hearth I hope that Philips is taking us serious and fix this problem soon with another firmware update!!

    With kind regards, Jarno.

Klash, as i tell you ... you have not chance ...

With this peoples from TPV is not possible to talk.

I try ... they make me liar ... just read other topics for 6,7,8,9 series (that have same FW)

They will send you to local service ... and they will not help you ... because problems are software ...

This tv's are in market from 1.5 year ... and so many problems ... they just wait warranty to finish ... and then ...

    That's it ...

    Hi Peter,

So EVERYONE needs to continue reporting their issues. Normally a company should listen their users and release new firmware that fixes bugs and issues reported by their respectful customers!!

Since > two months we did not see new firmware so i am expecting a lot of improvements in the coming release!! Especially more reliability and a fix for
    those reboot issues.

    With regards, Jarno.

    Hi Jarnimo

Not EVERYONE needs to continue reporting same problems. Because TPV PERFECTLY KNOWS about all problems ... no matter that they say that there are not problems.

Customers reports this problems from many months ... and everytime TPV say that there are not problems ...

And for this china company their customers are not important ! Personally checked ! Ones you make mistake to buy this tv ... they don't care for you !

"Issues", "bugs" ... For all this problems customers must have possibilities to return their tv's without problem ... but not with this company ...

Why they not refund my money ... for so many problems ... they tell me that my tv have not problems ! ... And tell me that i am liar !

This is what TPV admin say before 3 months:

    "v173.46 and 173.48:
As you might know, with SW 173.46 and 173.48 we made some good steps towards better system stability. That was our main focus for these releases: to reduce the number of various reboot issues. From our point of view, this was successful."

FROM CUSTOMERS POINT OF VIEW THIS WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL With 173.46 and up to now reboots INCREASE

For all this tv's they must recall from market ... and to refund money to customers !

    Dora,
why not go through complaint legal? If what you say is true you have any requirements for this.
Send an email to the seller and Philips TV, or if you do not know how to do, you can get a follow from advocacy.
It is not yet my time, but in 1 month I could not use my TV to watch the World Cup. I am really sorry for this. I have to wait another while before making any complaint, but really really really hope PHILIPS there is ignoring all.

    @PHILIPS is it true?

For many decades, Philips was a good brand TV. Perhaps the best brand for sale.

Many Philips TV's are having problems the last years. In particular the last two or three years the software is not reliable. I read many stories about unhappy customers here. This can cause permanent damage to the Philips brand.

Edit; this causes permanent damage to the Philips brand.

Restart problems exist, I have them on a 6158.
There are many more problems as indicated in the forums. Philips does not solve the problems it does not recognize the existence of these.

When I went to buy the TV the clerk told me not to buy Philips because it had many problems but I wanted Ambilight ...... Big mistake.

Voice problems Philips has already spread around the shops and recommend not buying.

    I live in Spain.
