    Fidelio P9 switches off

When I connect to the P9 by a cord (from an old iPod), the P9 switches off after 15-20 minutes. I'm guessing this is because it has an auto-shut-off if a bluetooth connection is not detected -- is this so?

    Hello,

Can you please provide your P9's serial number?

The problem is that the audio output of your iPod is too low.

Please connect your iPod to P9 via mp3 link, then set P9 to a low volume but increase the iPod volume to a high level. P9 should not switch off after 15-20mins.

    Kind regards,
    Philips Moderation Team

Hi, what is the result per Rafal's advice ? I am curious it

    Suggested by Rafal:

The problem is that the audio output of your iPod is too low.

Please connect your iPod to P9 via mp3 link, then set P9 to a low volume but increase the iPod volume to a high level. P9 should not switch off after 15-20mins.

The advice is correct (on first testing). Many thanks to Philips good support.

(I still may have a problem, as I wanted to play the speakers at full volume while outside. It may be that if I play the iPod at high and the P9 until the cut-off time is passed, I can then increase to full volume. I'll test this when the opportunity arrises.)

I think you can increase to full volume on both iPod and P9 at the beginning if you can accept the loudness
