    Can Not Connect My Macbook Pro to Ambilight 40Series

    Hi there;

    I am using this television about a year and i was using my macbook (connected to the TV with mini HDMI port) as well without a problem for about 10 months. All of a sudden a week ago when i actually updated my television, all-working HDMI connection stopped to work. All i see a dark screen which says to me "video format not supported" and "your HDMI cable may be broken, try using a cable shorter than 5Mt" (which i did).

    I tried all available resolutions, changing HDMI cable and ports, changing mini hdmi port, updating both tv and MAC still no response. On the other hand my PS 4 is working perfectly regardless of which HDMI port i use. Whereas when i connect the cable to my girlfriend's macbook i get a blurry image for a about a minute before it displays the same errors.

    I would like to know what is my problem because of the fact that we pay a lot of money to televisions and they shouldn't get broken! from nowhere!

    Thank you

    Hi,

    1) what TV do you have
    2) what was the firmware version before and after
    3) did you pull power cord for 3 minutes?
