    Exclamation BDP 5600/12 Horor !

Is it possible that none of Phillips does not try to solve problems with software that has this player. So, I gave the ad to sell it, I can reset it by drawing an electrical outlet, every day, it's depressing. Too many bugs, often freezing and then the only solution is to stop the power directly from the wall! The horror! I use the latest firmware, I do not know what they were like the previous one, but this is a lot of freezing. Do not talk about very fine print on subtitlovi (DiVX ..) could be added to a more comfortable solution for font size and color ..

I'm sorry, but I can not recommend to anyone to buy this player, technical support Philips is desperate!

    Dear struja,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with a blue ray player.
How is your blue ray connected to the TV?
Is your device still within the warranty? In which country are you based in?

I have passed your feedback to our team for further investigation.

    Kind regards,
    Philips Moderation Team

I got it from relatives living abroad, by the way, I am from Serbia. The unit is under warranty, but I'm not able to make it happen in my country. I'm not the only one who has noticed this often freezing, yet somewhere I read about it on a forum, maybe here. As for the size of the subtitles and font colors, to help us to meet the needs of a firmware upgrade. I believe that would be cheered by many users.

    Best regards
    struja

I forgot to mention, the unit is connected to the TV via an analog connection (RCA cable). Yellow wires for video signal and red and white for audio. My TV is a VIVAX HD ready, but the bluray will not give a signal via HDMI, and I was also unknown.

    Hello Struja,

Can you please provide following information?

    - When is the BDP freezing and in which specific situation?
    - About “very fine print on subtitle” -> Can you post a picture of the issue?
    - From which sources do you play back the DivX files (USB, CD, …)?
    - Can you make a readout of the divix file with MediaInfo and send it via txt file?
    - Have you tested the player on other TV?

    Thank you.

    BR,
    Sarka

The device I tried it on another TV and then shows a picture via HDMI, I guess it's because of the incompatibility of standard HDMI on my TV, other defects have not been able to verify due to not having enough time to bother my neighbor ..

    - Movies and other files I mostly watch via USB

    - Player can usually freezes during the first start of the day and then not finish the loading of files, remains frozen and does not respond to a command, or on the remote control or on the player itself. But it happens, and when moving from one menu to another.

    - The photo of the TV screen when printed subtitle, unfortunately, I can not post it here

    - Here is the text content from the Media Info, I hope you asked for it:

    Hello,

Thank you for detailed information. Can you please test a DVD playback? Are the subtitles from DVD better?
For the hang up issue - Can you please let me know if the point Quick Start in the player menu is deactivated?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,
    Sarka

Quick start was turned, I just turned it off, just to see whether it will make no difference. The DVD subtitles are fine.

Same thing.. I've already tried everything, I don't know what to do anymore, definitely you need to work on this firmware 2.21, that the unit functioned normally with us with older TVs. I hope that you come out to meet our needs

    Hello struja,

because a hang up issue still persists, I'm afraid you will need to contact a retailer or your local service centre to have a repair arranged.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Kind regards,
    Sarka
