TV Smoking and Crackling Model No. 47PFL3603D/27 Serial No. YA1C0814010394
Our Tv has been going black and crackling. The picture goes out and doesn't come back on unless we turn it on and off. I took the back off to find what was probably burning. Is it possible to replace this part or do I have to replace the entire board? Nothing else seems to be affected.

Here are all the photos:

I unfortunately found that out while doing alittle research waiting for a reply

I unplugged and took the board off, it seems some what easy to replace. Hardest thing is finding the part in stock.
Does anyone know where I could find the part:
272217100571 POWER SUPPLY 2300KEG033A-F PLHL-T722A
I've found it ranging from $35-$185 online, but none were in stock. Is there a chain of stores or a tv supply shop someone could suggest?

You should contact philips in your country and check if they can supply the part.4 of the black electrolytic capacitors on the top right are bulging which may have caused it to burn up.

That NTC small blue and burned thing near the inductor, that looks like a ceramic cap but it's a resistor that changes value with temperature (a thermistor): cut it out, remove it.
The problem can be only this.
It works without it.
Beware, do this with the mains cable disconnected from the wall plug.Last edited by carlosfm; 05-31-2011 at 11:03 AM.

I found a power supply board for a 47PFL3603/F7 philips model tv which is different than my 47PFL3603D/27 model. The board though is identical, but doesn't list a part number. Does anyone know if these two models share some of the same parts or the power supply board at least?
Here's the board I wanna make sure is the same as the one that burnt.

I havent opened up the back of mine yet but the tv has been turning black more often lately and Im assuming it is a related issue. Has anyone replaced their power supply? Has anyone found a price better price than the 185 all over the internet and at bestbuy?

I found one:

It is exactly the correct one for your 47pfl3603d/27 model, p/n 2300KEG033A-F. It may also work for other models.
