    HDMI device appearing and disappearing

    Hi all,

My TV is a 32PFL7605 with the latest firmware. Paired to that TV I have a Easylink enabled Philips DVD player.
When I turn on the TV the DVD player is not mentioned in the home menu before I turn the DVD player on.
When I turn the DVD player of again the logo of this device stays in the menu until I turn the TV of.

Is this normal or should the device stay in the Home menu, even after turning the TV of? Everytime I change the name of the device it returns to the original name of Philips DVP after turning the TV of.

    Regards,

    Nico

Hey, which DVD do you got?
maybe it would help to just change the HDMI Port on the TV.
If not, which Firmware do you have installed on both Devices?

It's now in HDMI-1. I don't know the version of the DVD player by heart, but it's one of the entry level dvd players with usb and hdmi.
Should the logo stay in the menu at all times?

The TV is upgraded to latest firmware. There was no firmware update voor the DVD player.
