Net TV sound volume too loud!
I have the following issue with my Net TV
.
I switch to Net TV and I choose an icon of a service with sound. When it starts to play, it is very loud and I need to bring down the volume. It happens every time I go into Net TV. Sometimes it scares the hell out of me. How do I adjust the default sound setting of Net TV?

Hi hippie67
I had the same problem and I fixed it!
I watch TV via a set top box. This story is the same for a satellite tuner or a cable decoder.
The sound level output of my set top box was very low, so when I watch to a normal TV broadcast I had to turn up the volume rather high. When I then switched to Net TV the sound was too loud!
So, you do not need to bring down the sound volume of Net TV, you need to increase the sound level of the set top box. Simply access the settings menu of the set top box and increase the volume to max. Now all the sound levels match to the same level, for Net TV, Normal TV, DVD and other sources.

Thanks all for your quick reply.
I watch TV via a UPC decoder, so the TV is in fact a monitor....
I also read the reply of Jessy and did some checks: indeed this solved the issue!!!! I had to do with the low volume setting of my decoder.
Really great such a forum. I'm a happy hippie now! Thanks guys!Last edited by hippie67; 08-11-2010 at 12:37 PM.
