BDP5100 + 720p/24p mkv
Hi,
My problem is, when I watch a mkv wich is in 720p/24p, it plays on 60hz.
Only 1080p/24p mkvs will be played on 24hz.
I know the player only supports officially 1080p/24p
Anyway, does anyone know a solution ? Do I need to upscale the mkv with a software?
Kind regards

Hi gp2,
Did you try setting the BDP HDMI output to fixed 1080p instead of AUTO or NATIVE? just something that came up to my mind...

Yepp I've tried now every mode. No changes, still 720p/24p mkv's will be on 1080p 60hz. For me it would be the most consistent way to change the mode to native. But even there no changes...
That's not good, and I guess only a firmware-update could do that

Could anyone please proof that ? Just to except that maybe my TV is the reason for the problem.
Every 24hz video which is not in 1080p will play in 60hz on my Sharp TV LC-40LE705E

I think it will be the best that you sent the file to the forum moderator and let him come back to you with the testing report. Many users tried this before (you can read through the forum) and they said Philips managed to get back to you within 24 hours. You can have a try.
