F Error Reading File

Hello,

The problem occurs when trying to connect to my laptop.

After selecting Windows Media Player as Media server I get a message saying 'F Error Reading File'. Then I see the word 'Folders' but without any content.

It happens when I tried to play music.

What is the problem?

Hi AtroX,

You say it happened when you tried to play music, does this mean you had no problem with photos and movies?? Also did you try another mediaserver as Tversity for example??
I see the word 'Folders' So it looks like DLNA has been set, but there is something missing, like folders sharing, or maybe codecs...

Hi Oscar,

appearantely it is a WMP-connectivity problem cause while you answered this topic I was busy installing Mezzmo and now I can read all files.

Mezzmo is just a 15-day trial. Is Tversity good as Mezzmo?

It is a bit of a pity that it takes some seconds before the next song is loaded when u choose a next track.

as far as I know, WMP does not support all types of files... this could also be a cause...

Well, I sorted out my mp3's and Flac-files and I've put them each in a different folder. In that way it was easier to only import the MP3-files.

You know if Tversity is as good as the Mezzmo (which has to be payed for offcourse)

I don't test both of them. But from what I read here... users using Mezzmo don't want to give it away...
