Not all 3D content is the same,
Lacking the control of 3D depth makes our tv to react exactly the same way when it should not because of the differences of the 3D content. The outcome may be variable ghosting,
Please add some control here,
3D Options for 2k11 TVs
Also I would like to convert 2D to 3d as samsungs do. not sure if it is possible.
Upcoming 8/9000 Series (8xx6, 9xx6) will have the "3D max" feature.
This features brings 2D to 3D and also a control for the 3D depth.
So what do we do with the TV at home? We are not a potential customer in fact we are the customers so only thing interests me personally to have that feature implemented for my existing tv that I bought 5 months ago. So I am not too keen to buy another Philips TV just because 2d 3d conversation. I don't think anybody would do..
I have had enough problems so far.
How about fixing sound drop issue for the sake of your loyal customers? That would be nice.
That is good news for 2011 tv series but what about our 2010 tv models??
What about the rumor saying that some of the 21:9 (2011) features could be addressed to the 21:9 (2010) model as well?
We better buy a TV set which has present/future features instead of a Philips which seems to always stays behind the new developments. The 2D->3D conversion is present for a long time on the Samsungs and Panasonics, way before Philips released there 2010 models.
Latest Samsungs and Panasonics already have recording-features to an external HDD, which 'maybe' there on the not yet release 2011 philips TV sets.
ps, the 2D->3D conversion I think is a hardware limitation on the 2010 models (old chips), so I don't think you'll be getting this feature.
2D to 3D will be available for 8000, 9000, and Cinema 21:9 models...
USB Recording is available for all series beginning of 6000
(2011 models only)
