    Looking for where to turn

    Hello,
I have an old Philips Frequency Counter model PM 6603. This has served for over thirty years and just recently decided to take a rest. I am hoping that someone here can direct me to a Philips location where I can request a schematic for this trusty old device. The fault is simple I am sure and I would very much like to have it functioning again. My location is Hamburg, Germany.
    The device particulars are:
    PM 6603/01
    NC 9446 066 03011
    S/N SM 0643
    Thank you!
    - Michael (aka hummel)

Thank you for your suggestion. I called and they were not able to help directly, but were able to give me an email address for Fluke in the Netherlands for archive materials, rot.germany@fluke.nl
I will try there and post back with any progress.

    Hi,

since I don't know what device you are talking about, I just googled for a picture:

    Is this your device?

    Hello Toengel,
Yes, that's it. It measures frequency and waveform periods and other time based things. Still works like it did years ago except that the Input A (lower right corner) no longer responds. It is likely something very simple, a blown transistor or logic gate or something. This is before large-scale ICs and the circuit is just discrete transistors and standard TTL 74xx stuff. I would very like to fix it. I like those Nixie tubes!

There is a guy in the Netherlands where you could turn to. He has a lot of this stuff. His name is "electronicsandbooks".
Look e.g. here, there is also a phone number.

Thanks Dutchtronic. I will investigate this.
Also, the email address I posted earlier (rot.germany...) is not valid. I just sent to the service desk at Fluke Netherlands (Fluke bought or merged with the instruments part of Philips some while back). I'll see what happens.
Thanks for your help here folks.
