No picture or sound with composite video

I just purchased a BDP3200 player, and am trying to connect it to my TV set via composite video & audio (3xRCA) cable.

My problem is that after I have connected the cables and turned the devices on, there is no picture - I've found the correct channel on the TV because there is flickering on the screen, but no sound or image. This persists even after I've checked that the physical cable connections are OK.

The troubleshooting section of the user guide tells me to try to switch to 480i/576i or 480p/576p in the HDMI video settings, if there is no picture when trying to use the composite connection.

However, this presents a slight problem: because there is no picture, I can't navigate to the proper menu to try and change the settings.

Can anybody help?

Hi,

have you tried a different cable? And the BDP3200 on a different TV? A cross-test would be useful to determine where the issue stays. If on another TV it works you can put a lower resolution and then try it again on your TV.
