BDP7500SL/12 DVD playback problems
Hi
When I try to play a DVD (on said player) 9/10 times the player "crashes". The display starts counting - like it's playing - but nothing shows up on the TV (Philips PFL8404H) and suddenly the player stops counting and doesn't respond at all. Sometimes I can shut it down by holding the ON/OFF button on the player, but most of the times I have to pull the plug to shut it down.
Is this a known issue and is there a solution or is my product defect?
PS. Firmware is the latest update.

Hi,
is this problem present with all DVDs or only one special disc?

Hi SMR,
does it happen with every DVD you're willing to playback? And what about BD or Audio CD? Is your BDP connected to the network? If so have you tried to disconnect it?

I have tried with several (20+) DVDs and it has happened to all of them.
Blu-Rays play just fine - never had a problem there. Audio CDs works fine as well.
I've tried with the player both connected and disconnected to the network and the problem is occurring either way.

No and I even have an insurance on it so it shouldn't be a problem getting it fixed. Thanks for all the answers
