40PFL9705/12 - supply issues
I ordered a new 40PFL9705 from my local supplier last Monday. They advised at the time that this would be manufactured at Philips and shipped directly to me - no problem.
However they did phone me an hour later to advise they had placed the order but Philips currently have no stock and were not advising when this would be fulfilled.
Is there supply issues on this television and when can orders expect to be released?

Hi,
ask your supplier if he can order you the 40PFL9715 - it's the same hardware with a new software branch and a new remote control...

sorry but this is bullshit...
not sure what your supplier is talking about but you wont get any TV directly shipped from Philips to you...
edith: why do i write that?
because i really think you should change the supplier, not sure if another one can send you the Device but according to the things the actual one is saying....
otherwise ask for the 9715 like toengel says, its basicly the same device only with a better remote and different menuLast edited by a_Tom; 08-08-2011 at 05:23 PM.

Ok im concerned now. The supplier was chosen as its an official philips supplier from the philips website and they are doing a great deal with inclusive bluray player, 3d glasses and 5yr warranty. They were also upfront that stock was an issue so i dont really have a reason to dispute with them at the moment.
I will ask them about the 9715 model but was really just wondering if supply of the 9705 was drying up with the imminent release of the new 9000 series models.
Im beginning to wonder if i should have bought the 9705 the more i read about it.
