sa3mus16s playlist empty after power off/on
My muse is not remembering any of the songs I load in the playlist-on-the-go, once a power off/on sequence is performed.
I can add songs to the playlist-on-the-go and use the playlist to play the songs, but after a power off/on sequence, the playlist-on-the-go contains 0 songs.
Similarly, any playlists I transfer using either songbird or WMP do not show up on the muse browse-playlist page after a power off/on.
When connected to the PC, immediately after transferring the playlist, I can use the PC Explorer to view the playlist I had previously transferred to the muse, and see that the playlist has songs listed. But once I have powered off/on the muse, and connected back to the PC I can see that the playlist file is empty, and the playlist name does not show up in the muse's browse-playlist page.

I suspect I will need to wait for a bug fix in the next firmware update.
If this is not the correct forum would someone direct me to the appropriate place thanks.
If it is the correct forum, is it a know problem, is there an ETA for a fix ?
I have the same player, but the 8gb version.Still new and never used on the go playlists before but did give it a go to try this out after reading your post. I added two songs to the default playlist-on-the-go and turned off the player. Turned it on again and the two songs I saved are still there and can see them in the playlist.
I don't have an SD card in my player yet. Are you saving songs from an SD card? and how long are you turning off your player for - I only turned mine off for a few minutes.
I did have a 32GB class 4 SD card installed previously, but I have just popped it out and formatted the default 16GB internal storage again using the FORMAT option from the settings menu.
After transferring an album, I've repeated the playlist tests, using both the playlist-on-the-go and the playlist transfeered from the PC, and powered off the muse for a minute.
On power on, the playlist-on-the-go is once again empty, and the playlist from the PC does not show up in the browse-playlist page anymore. (There is a 0 byte playlist file in the muse playlist folder).
Well my problem seems to have cleared!
The only thing is I am not sure which action resolved it .
Possibly one of the following:
1) re-installed Songbird and updated from 1.9.2 to 1.9.4
2) attempted a "repair my philips device" using songbird, although that process ended with a "your firmware is already up to date"
3) removed (but not deleted) all tunes listed in Songbird and imported the lot back in.
4) formatted the muse using both the Songbird menu option and the muse's onboard menu option.
I hope the problem does not re-occur.
Good to hear Stefan! I've been told that the repair my device through songbird should always be used if you find anything not working as it should because it reformats and re-installs important system files back on the player and not just updating the firmware- so this may have been what worked? Im off to see if I need to update my songbird to 1.9.4!
