BDP3200/05 AVCHD playback
Hello,
I just bought this a few days ago and I WAS reasonably happy with it until...
I discovered the player won't recognise AVCHD files on a USB memory stick and therefore cannot play them
Cheers,

AVCHD is supported according to the codec table...
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...lu-ray-players
maybe you analyze your file with the below tool to see if that's out of the scope of the codec?

Hi Nocturnal,
have you tried to burn the same file on a DVD or BD? It sounds to me that to playback AVCHD from usb you need to create an AVCHD for USB structure... there is some software on the web to do so...

Hey Nocturnal,
Have a look at that: multiavchd.deanbg.com
and report your feedback here in the forum

Hello,
I was never able to get AVCHD working from the USB.
I looked at multiavchd.deanbg.com and tried using it with no success. It is so complex and difficult to use I can't be bothered with it.
I tried copying an m2ts movie file to a dvdr and the player reported 'no content' as with USB. This obviously needs a structure to play it from disc and even then I'm not sure it will play it from a recordable disc.
As the Philips moderator mentioned in another post, they are not going to enable these features with current players but will do with players in 2012. I think this is a cop-out from Philips and when I initially bought the unit the sales people adorned the packaging with all these features including uTube. Well the uTube works but it is such a pain to use with the remote (which isn't the best either) and operates nothing like uTube on a computer.
Another annoying aspect of the USB function ( see my other posts ) is that movies cannot be displayed in their correct aspect ration when played from USB.
