Problem with subtitles in BDP7500B2/12

Hi,

I have problems with subtitles in BDP7500B2/12. All its OK with BD and AVI. I have cyrillic subtitles in AVI (DivX), but not in MKV (h264). How to switch to Cyrillic subtitles in MKV?

Hi,

while playing the MKV with subtitles, press the option button and switch the "character set" - you need to have the latest firmware installed... (only via Web available)

The options are different for MKV files. AVI has "character set", but MKV don't.

Hi TishoD,

I just tested an MKV file with greek subtitles and it works fine, the Character Set option is available, and Cyrillic there it appears too...
My version is V1.56, please check yours and maybe you need to upgrade the set

this is what I already told yesterday - one need the latest firmware update, because this was a bug in releases before 1.56

When I first turned it on the web player is updated. But now checked - version was 1.53!

So I update via USB and now everything is fine - there are already Character set for the MKV!
