Will Videload also work with an USB HD? Because I heard that it will only work with a SD card and my BDP5100 has no SD card slot

Hi,

the video store will only work on devices which were advertised with a video store function - and all these devices have a SD slot.

But you can test viewster - it is already available in the Net TV App store...

I talked with the videoload support hotline today. They think that videoload for NetTV won't be online in first quarter of 2011. But they do not have a new outlook or date. This means it will take longer until there will be a videostore.
I know, there is Viewster. Its content is not satisfying.

It is strange that this platform is ignored from videostore companys. There are some in germany and some which could extend their market to germany and make money buy selling videos.

it's such a shame for Videoload... since IFA2010 (September 2010) we are waiting for an up-to-date VOD service by Videoload...

Philips should enter into an agreement with Maxdome - it's the best VOD service in Germany. More movies, most experiences...

But this are just only my 2 cents...

Yes, it is really a shame. I'm also asking me, why we have to wait for Videoload. Maxdome is really good.

But why has Philips to enter an agreement. One can access every web url. So maxdome only has to provide a compatible web portal. To get an App Icon, they can contact Philips. But why a special agreement. The platform is open, isn't it?

Yes, please got for another Videostore Provider. There should be many:

- Vodafone Videothek
- Amazon Instant Share (currently not in germany, but maybe they are interested)
- KabelBW
- Maxdome
- LoveFilm

The dream would be a generic application from a third one which searches in other videostores for the cheapest pricing and streams it from the cheapest videostore provider.

Oh yes, please Philips come on. Forget Videoload and go to other VOD provider. Maxdome is running very well on LG LCDs. Please do the same and perform your promise before loyal customer will change.

Since there are others also interested in the videostore feature, maybe we can also make the videostore providers aware of this demand. I contacted maxdome and videoload. But maybe it helps, if we all contact the different providers asking them to provide a video store for NetTV. It should be an open platform, so they don't need to make a contract between Philips and themselfs.

Maybe we can drive that by creating various requests for a videostore based on NetTV.

What do you think about it?

It´s almost one year ago it was advertised in the shop I bought the TV and it still does not wrork. I´m very disapointed.

I just called the videoload service hotline. There is still the plan to enable videoload on NetTV. But they do not give an outlook until it will be available.

But on the hotline, they said, that the information in their database was improved the last days. They added the models which will support that (we all know 7000 8000 9000 series of 2010), that an sd card is needed and a internet connection via wifi or ethernet is needed.

i found a maxdome "Button" in the german pro7 app. when you choose this maxdome button you get on a side from maxdome where its been said hat you should Visite the maxdome website , but no more informations Art delivered. does anybody tested it Andi get it work ??
