if u press (accidental) the return/back key longer then 3 secs, the tv is jumping everytime to channel 1 (dvb-t / dvb-c).
this happens also for a poor and only internal sat user like me, but there is no boadcast on this channel.
maybe a not-usable feature
regards

Not sure, if you want to include bugs which happen in the NetTV apps?
If so, there is this one: http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...-password-info
It's always a good question, if such errors occur in NetTV, if this is a Philips error. Sometimes a user can't really decide if the root of the error is in the content providers app or in the embedded browser of the TV.
Anybody ideas about accessing those apps with a PC and a similar/normal browser?
Are there links to the apps to debug them with PC?

Never used music player of tv before, but connected my USB HDD to my TV to give it a try.
Oh boy, this "music player" is a really basic one.... and concerning the embedded cover art : I never saw a cover art for any song. I tried at least 20 songs (all my mp3's have cover art).

I saw that for the 2011 series it's now possible to attach a Bluetooth keyboard via
USB dongle - I think this should be added to the feature list.
Another nice feature might be to completely open the firmware to allow customer to
do the necessary fixes...

Hi Toengel,
Many many thanks for this great initiative! The list is maintainable and we don't need to dive into dozens of (duplicated) discussions to inspect the status of particular issues. I wonder to which extent the list is similar to the list Philips' project leader on TV firmware development has got. Most welcome would be a response from Philips on this list. Most companies do understand the importance of communication.
Some positive sound: When I returned from holidays 2 weeks ago Net TV was for some reason much faster then before and it still is. Another thing is that forwarding/rewinding in 3 movies on USB is doing fine since the latest firmware (.39)
Something else: have you ever thought to have a group of community people who are beta testers for new fw (with the possibility to fall back on a released fw). People who think 'this is not something TV consumers should/can do', simply won't join.
Cheers,
daL

Feature:
Add Bluetooth USB dongle support (A2DP and HID) in order to be able to use bluetooth stereo headphones and bluetooth keyboard. LG and other manufacturers already have this.

Feature:
Browse shared folders on your PC(s) directly through the network, without DLNA.
That is, use your network shares as if it was an external HDD connected to the USB port.
Feature:
Add support for more audio codecs: FLAC, Ogg-Vorbis, APE, etc. - all FREE.
Note: don't even mention the CPU power needed (!!!), because audio decoding (even high-rez multichannel) is much lighter than full HD video.
Feature:
Add wired (and wireless) USB keyboard support, even if it's only the English/US keyboard layout. Anything is better than nothing.
Feature:
Allow analog stereo audio output on the SCART plugs, from any input source (internal - digital and analog tuners - and external).
Note: No, I'm not going to record it on my cassette deck (!) and sell tapes - this is a ridiculous absence, as analog audio is always present in the headphones plug.Last edited by carlosfm; 08-30-2011 at 02:00 PM.
