Yes, I know what Philips says on the phone. They promise EPG with a pending firmware update.
See also this thread, to see how true are these "hardware" and "software" limitations:

I think, there is currently a change in the game of modern TVs. Many innovations are introduced and a TV is getting a more and more complex system which has to be integrated. More and more software has to be developed to get all the functionality which is requested by the consumer.
On the other hand, it is state of the art, that there is no method to write bug-free software. So the planning of resources to spent during development phase of new TVs and on support of older TVs is a huge challenge.
I'm sure, that Philips is aware of the list, they commented on it.
I'm not sure on the amount of resource capabilities which are spent on support of TVs which are in the market.
But I think it is better to give a little time to fix the things and do them right by constructions instead of doing many firmware releases which might introduce also new bugs. So we might have to be patient...
I also would like to have more information on the status, but I understand that this is not easy. You can't really estimate how difficult the problems are to solve.

I do not understand is that televisions offered for sale in the middle of things do not work. I do not understand that one year after the sale to a TV still has a list 27 bugs and 32 improvements.
I do not understand that one year after the sale to a TV have not yet had the dignity to update the web browser and effort in Youtube leanback.
I do not understand is because the competition offers better performance and without as many limitations as is Philips.
What I understand is that Philips must make changes and not firing 4500 employees as announced.
Philips must change its quality controls. Philips is to sell their TVs when they are well prepared. Philips should be more agile. Philips must respond to requests from their clients and not ignore them.
On the other hand would ask the moderator to organize a forum recently. There are many recurring themes and misplaced.
Thank you very much.

Hi,
guys - thanks for the discussions. But the thread was on gathering bugs in the 2010 series. So maybe we should come back to the initial intention. Did you find anything new?

I'd like some navigation improvements for the "on screen keyboard" and the "home menu".
Eg. : no more stop at the left-right (or top-bottom) of the margins.
It should be possible to switch from the end to the beginning of the on screen keyboard simply by continuing in the same direction. The same for the "home menu".
Regards,
Adamo

I'll vote for that! Also in the rest of the (setup) menu's.
My TV should have been placed in front of me now, but the repairman came, connected it and turned it on. The dark stripes on the right side were gone, but still two new (small) darker spots were visible, so he packet it back in again..
At least I got a decent loaner a week ago (32" 7695), so I can go on enjoying quite a good picture and sound in HD, but alas only 2 sides of ambilight...
I do have the feeling that the menu is a bit more 'snippy' on this 7000 series, while it felt a bit slougish on my own 9705...

i didn't see here the 2 most important bugs 9705 has.
first 3d crosstalk is by far more visible than philips say the tv has.
second is better local dimming control.i know that this kind of led tvs have some bugs but in many scenes this i watch is unwatchable especially at low IRE.see an example

i saw that and i did this with settings to Latvia.i don't understand why we have bud timing when we are in the same GTM+2 ZONE.also its not good.when you choose epg you have to wait some seconds to open without image and sound and then if you want to see informations about a program you have to wait again to open information in a new window.compare with my SAMSUNG's epg it is awful.see an image for what i am talking about.its not from my tv but its the same

all these bugs look like my tv has too poor hardware and software material.
in few world expensive packaging with poor content.

Hello Toengel,
Thanks for the bugs-list. I do want add more bugs+features to this list.
1 - When choose teletextsubtitles (pressing down and then choose "Taal ondertitels" > "T888" (picture 1) the subtitles are way too big. The difference between normal 888 (picture 3) and earlier called way (picture 2) is to big.
2 - Also i bought Philips flat tv because my old Philips CRT TV supports automatic showed T888 when it is available. Now after buying i explored this is not available in digital tv, only for analog tv. I dont believe it is impossible. I want ask Philips to make it happened. Or make a extra line in the list "ondertitels aan tijdens mute/ondertitels uit/ondertitels aan" "T888 weergeven" so i dont need to press above, choose teletext, choose 888 en waiting before i can understand whats saying and not able to see whats happened on screen (because teletext is searching to 888 and is not transparant). The list i described is 1/4 part of the screen so i can see something before the 888 is showed up.
3 - Make IP-EPG + now&next OSD available for Netherland and 2010 models.
Please look at the next posted pictures for the difference as discribed in 1.

BUG: when an (HDMI) device is switched off, the TV displays a large white bar at the bottom with "no signal" forever, the TV does not go to standby.
This used to work until a certain firmware version, I'm not sure which. The TV went to standby after some minutes without signal.
This is a serious problem reported here by another forum member almost a year ago.
Philips has done nothing, after all this time.
