Are you confident on this?
As consumers we've lost hope to have this simple feature (offered from the entire rest of the TV producers).
Do you want to put the more comfortable Philips solution: you press 2 keys on the remote control to obtain the "now-next" feature?
Incomparable comfort: Philips consumers are unable to appreciate the convenience.

Hallo Alex!

I went through your complete opening post...to see which ones were still missing that are in one of my threads. And this is the result:
Bug 1: Dimming problem when subtitles appear on 32PFL9705 (also on 40/46" & 9956)
Bug 2: Pixels flashing in black regions right next to brighter objects
Bug 3: Bright colours juddering around half a centimeter behind where they should be when panning with "Dynamic Backlight" = Off and "Clear LCD" = On (the second "new" bug in my opening post)
Feature: when pressing the (vacant) blue button once, swap between the last two selected sources. Pressing it more often would select one of your other sources, in the order in which they were last used, like Alt-Tab in Windows. A small information line in the left corner could show the name of the selected source, just like it does when changing the volume.
Hopefully your thread has more impact on Philips...

Hi,
can you adapt your links to point to a special post, where a video is linked to show the problem?

Bug 1: that thread contains many examples showing the dimming bug;
Bug 2: I adapted the link to point to my latest post, containing the video you mean;
Bug 3: I just added the note saying "the second new bug in my opening post", because for this one I haven't been able to catch it on camera yet, unfortunately.Last edited by Freddy; 11-25-2011 at 03:41 PM.

Audio drop outs with digital (optical) out of 42PFL6805/H
Hello,
I'm experiencing frequent audio drop outs on connected audio devices (Bose via optical converter from coax digital out, Denon via optical converter from coax digital out as well as directly from coax digital out).
The drop outs appear every few minutes or so, sometimes they are only a few seconds apart, then no drop outs for another five minutes and so on. The drop out time is just a few seconds (one to three seconds).
There are no drop outs in the picture or the audio of the TV itself.
Due to the fact that different audio equipment behaves the same when connected to the TV, it is definetly a problem with the Philips TV. There is another post on this forum describing similar behaviour for other Philips TV models.
I have updated to the latest SW version Q5524-0.140.390. The update did not change anything.
Any help is appreciated. I really like the TV, but I would have to return it if this problem can't be resolved.

Dear Philips Electronics N.V!
A type of LCD TV Philips 37PFL5405/12 owner or preparation. Below this unit I would like to ask for their help.
The television does not work properly, error: periodic hangelvesztés watching TV and HDMI connected device. The TV system without losing your voice, it's 1-2-3 seconds, it's unpredictable intervals, sometimes for hours, sometimes several times within 5 minutes. The device off and on after the error temporarily disappears.
The above problem in Hungary went to customer service. They suggested an HDMI cable replacement and software upgrade done, but the error is not resolved. Then I gave the official Philips TV to an authorized service center, but the service could not fix the problem.
A support forum for Philips respondent promised to prepare and publish a software update, which improves the error. The software update has been made available, unfortunately, does not remedy the problem.
Given that the Philips support pages last 2011th month of July was a new software update (which is not corrected the error), there are concerns that you have no plans to repair this error.
The machine warranty period is about to expire. I do not want the warranty period has expired after a malfunctioning device to provide.
A selection of TV long after I chose my expectations were to meet, the visual capabilities of the product are wonderful. But unfortunately, the error described above strongly interfere with the enjoyment of television.
There is also a Philips product in my household, and Philips will continue to trust the skills, knowledge and that of its customers' feedback and concerns of the relevant competence and expertise to handle.
As shown above, please be kind to propose a solution to troubleshoot your problem. If such a solution has not yet been developed, such a repair option does not exist, so - because this error in the unit of service provided by unpalatable, disturbing and terribly annoying - please propose another solution that can be a unit replacement type filled with water meter, which works perfectly.Last edited by jano33; 12-01-2011 at 07:14 PM.
