    3D over USB

    Hi,

    I want to ask the developers of the TV firmware to allow me to enable 3D, when viewing films over USB.
    It would be much easier then to buy a DVD player and burn a DVD every time I want to view a side by side 3D film.
    By the way, I would be fine too, if I could enable 3D in NetTV.
    At the moment I can watch 3D on HD Sat channels only and there are not very much such channels :-(

    I bought a PDL7906 which is a 2011 model, however unfortunately no 3d usb support. There was a rumor on this website that a firmware update was planned end of september.

    Oh, you are talking about 2011 model, I have a 42PFL7606K/02 and think this is a 2011 model. Perhaps, I can get the feature.

    In this future firmware, 3D will be enabled in sources different from HDMI: AV components, VGA ???.

    Confirmed by philips support team. In the future firmware 3d via USB will be added. 3D wil not supported in AV, components and VGA sources because they are analog sources.

    Can you provide more information regarding which TVs will get 3D support via USB? Is it only 2011 models or 2010 as well?

    It would be really nice if the support for 3D over USB would be for 2010 models also.
