I recently purchased the Model 37PFL7606h/12 I wonder if I can see a 3d usb. Is updated with the latest software Q5551_0.14.93.0. Please help if possible thanks. What should I do

Hi,

yes - you can watch Side-by-Side (or top-bottom) movies from USB. You need to manually switch the 3D mode (via the adjust button) to Side-by-Side (or top-bottom). Also the video files need an EXACT resolution of 1920x1080.

I actually just discovered it also works if the video has a resolution of 1280x720. In that case, 3D can also be enabled.

So, it's possible to play movies/recordings over USB that come from 3D HD channels that are broadcasted as 1280x720p. No need to rescale - quite useful.
I guess this is why 3D works on NetTV youtube, too. (if they have 1280x720). I was sortof surprised at first to have assumed the youtube 3D videos were 1920x1080 ..

What do you mean by saying "it hangs up"? What happens, what do you see on your tv?

Yes looks like a reset of the tv set, maybe someone from Philips can comment on it.

I have got a 47PFL7656T/12 and I see the same behavior. When playing true fullHD 1920x1080 mkv files with AC/3 audio the TV set actually plays the mkv file fine, but when I go to the menu and choose 3D side-by-side then the TV set freezes and reboots. I can repeat this behavior over and over. Can the Philips supporters maybe help here?

I did try upgrading to the latest firmware 14.096, but the behavior is still the same - unfortunately!

Can you post a MediaInfo output and maybe upload and link a small part? Then we can only hope, the guys at Philips can use this to reproduce and hopefully fix this.

thx for reply, but how can i set it on tv? i tried but i did not find settings anywhere... i set tv to 16:9 and did not help, it still does not works via usb...
