BDP7500B2/05 not reacting to inputs
Hi,
i've got a problem with my BDP7500 Bluray Player. When playing a file from usb hdd, after approximately 20 minutes it's not reacting on inputs from the remote control anymore. In the first 20 minutes it just works fine and after i press a button once it works for another 20 minutes and so on...
I've got the latest firmware (v1.56) and use a 2TB NTFS-formatted HDD.
Is this a bug? Can it be resolved in a future firmware update?
regards, hergi
P.S. what is the difference between BDP7500B2/05 and BDP7500B2/12 ? Most often i only find information about the latter.

Hi,
try to deactivate the screen saver...
This problem/bug can be observed with ALL Blu-ray players from Philips (at least all 2010 models).
The difference between /05 and /12 is the area where the BDP is sold... /12 is Germany and /05 UK?

Ah, yes, that did the trick! =)
Thank you very much!
Hm, funny that i've got an /05 one although i'm from germany and i bought it from a german seller...
Do i have to be careful about mixing up information about the different versions (e.g. firmware) or are they the same for both?

it depends, for bdp9600, it seems to me that the firmware from diff model number are the same (mistakenly tried once used /05 FW for my /12 device)
but it seems to me that for my other devices, like bdp3200, it's different, the firmware we have now is for /12 only not other model / version...
so i guess for you, better use the 05 FW... just in case...
