Philips server not found. Try again later

Tried again later. Got same feedback. According to the server status page, the NetTV service portal is up. Are there any steps an end user can take to troubleshoot/diagnose the problem? I tried tcpdumping traffic from my TV to anywhere, aside from a bunch of ssdp UDP packets, starting NetTV doesn't seem to generate any traffic that looks like an attempt to contact a philips server.

please install firmware 140.40 - this fixes the Net TV problem...

I only see firmware 140.39 on the supportsite for the 42pfl7675, Where do I get 140.40??

When I try to update my firmware, my TV tells me that it's firmware (140.33) is up to date. Perhaps you have some advice about how to troubleshoot/diagnose that problem. Unless of course version 140.40 is some sort of beta that Philips doesn't want me to install on my TV. On the other hand, maybe their firmware update process is also very broken.

Hi,

not all updates are delivered via the integrated update service. So i tell you, 140.40 is FINAL for 8000/9000/21:9 series and you can download it from the support webpage. And this update fixes the Net TV problem!
