TV won't show 1920x1080 resolution using HDMI
Hi
I just installed my 42PFL4606H/12, which according to its specs should be able to receive a 1080p hdmi output from a computer, yet it does not.
The laptop's HDMI output works well on other TVs - only on this one - 1920x1080 actually shows as 1776x1000.
Any idea what could be the problem?
Thanks,
Yaron.

Hi yshabi,
This could be your graphic card doing some overscanning. For sure if you press Options - Status on your TV it will indicate "HD 1080". The 1776x1000 is the desktop resolution, this one you can change through the graphic cards control panel.
Regards,

Indeed, the ATI 5470 had some scaling configurations that shrunk the output so it didn't show on the whole TV screen even though it was in 1080p.
Also - the TV has a "PC Mode" option which was not turned on at the time, so the picture was a bit distorted.
Once I changed the scaling (Video card) and changed the picture to "PC Mode" (TV) I got the expected output.
Thanks!
