LG joins Philips & Sharp !
Philips, LG and Sharp have taken the initiative to investigate the specification of common technical requirements for their Smart TV offerings (i.e. Philips Smart TV, LG Smart TV and Sharp Aquos Net+), based upon open standards such as HTML5, CE-HTML and HbbTV.

Or its like saying I bought the PS3 first version and now I want it to be the slim one.......some things are sometimes just not possible

All connecting devices will benefit from the new Smart release.
TV's will indeed show the new Smart TV portal, a complete new look with good changes and improvements. (See here)
