Does anyone know how to play the iPad movie on DCD8000?
The manual said that DCD8000 can play the video form the iPad through the docking unit.
Actually, I tried many times but gets the same result - no video signal.

Hmm not very clear
That isn't very good as both the sales and instruction manual gives the impression that the video from iPad can be played onto a tv via hdmi??

I have also the same problem. I bought the dcd8000 2days ago and so far I am disappointed about the iPod iPad docking functionality. Its not working as advertised.
The Video output is not working with my ipad 2 iOS 5.0
The remote control does also not allow to select Songs via the menu as described in the manual
The Dock functionality was the most important feature for buying the dcd8000.
All wires are correctly connected as described in the manual.
The other functions like dvd cd and radio are working fine.
It would be great if there is a possibility to have a correct working dvd8000!
Any help and feedback is highly appreciated!

Hi kwiennie,
Yes I mean especially the third list point and the remark for viewing videos.
If I use the described buttons then I see remark on the dcd8000 display like up down or select but there are no actins on the iPad itself!
If I start playing a movie directly on the iPod I can see the movie on the iPad and hear the sound on the dcd8000 but the movie information is not transferred to my television via the interconnected HDMI cable. Access to the DVD8000 OSD is possible on the television which shows to me that the data transfer between the dcd8000 is correctly established via HDMI.
Any help is appreciated
Regards
chriggle

Update for DCD8000
Dear all,
I would just like to update you regarding the video playback capabilities of the DCD8000.
Unfortunately, the DCD8000 can only support an audio output and not video output. This is an error in the user manual, which we are looking into amending.
I would like to thank you all for your feedback and comments and apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
Kindest regards,
AndreaForum Mod
